Yikes!

Well, it has been WAY too long since I have been able to write a new post. We have had internet for about a week, but somehow life took over my chances! Here are a few pictures to catch you up on our happenings...

We met up with the Eken's at their lake cabin on our way to Grand Forks to close on our house. It was a nice stop along the way. We got to visit with everyone and eat some delicious fresh fish!

Macky is quite the gardener. She loves to water Grandma's flowers.

We went to Hatton for the 4th (my favorite holiday ever!!!) They have a fun parade and throw out a ton of candy. We had a lot of family in town for the week. Family from Milwaukee, Rochester, Minneapolis, Arkansas, Phoenix, and my aunt and cousin came from Lebanon, too. Always nice when they can come to visit.

Mackenzie has recently started to LOVE building with her blocks. Eric and I start a base for her and then just let her go. She gets so into it, it's funny to watch her decide where to put the blocks. So sweet! This was right before bed a few nights ago.

In other news WE ARE EXPECTING BABY STEELE #2 in January. Our due date is 1/11/11. We are very excited and we are hoping that Mackenzie will enjoy being a big sister. :-)

Mackenzie is learning more and more words each day. It is so funny to hear her talking. One of her new favorite words is elephant...it comes out eh-phant. We love having Grandpa and Grandma Thompson in town. Grandpa keeps finding all sorts of new toys for Mackenzie. He bought her a 4 wheel electric car that is battery powered. She presses the button and cruises around the basement. We don't have a lot down there right now and she is loving the extra space. We have been slowly getting the house set up. We are working on decorating now and waiting patiently for our new couch.

Master bathroom...we are getting new furniture for our bedroom, when that happens I will add a picture of our room. :-)

Main floor bathroom, pretty much belongs to Macky

Mackenzie's room, this was one of the only rooms we needed to paint

"Dining room"

Upstairs living room, with a diapered baby playing with her blocks. Macky has taken over the living room too, but we don't mind, she keeps herself pretty busy.

Other than that we have been busy going to Eric's softball games, Mike's Pizza (sorry Brittany) and re-learning all that Grand Forks has to offer. Eric bought a bike yesterday and we added the little trailer behind for Mackenzie. We went all the way to the Thompson's yesterday and we enjoyed it for the most part. When we got there, delicious food was waiting. Always a good thing! I hope your summers are treating you well. Hopefully I can make this a part of my routine. Have a great week! :-)
