Turtle River State Park

We made a quick day trip to Turtle River State Park just west of Grand Forks on Sunday afternoon. We had an awesome time! The leaves were a little past peak, but we had fun crunching all of them on the trails around the park. We walked around a lot and it was almost too warm at 85 degrees. In the trees and shade it wasn't too bad, though. 

After walking around the trails we played for a while at the playground. Nolan had a lot of fun running around trying to catch Eric and I with the football. He also played a lot of golf with Grandpa Butch. Mackenzie loves swings and slides, so she kept herself busy with that. She kept Grandma Mary busy, too!  Here are a few pictures from our fun afternoon.

 Yes, the football is just about as big as him. Yes, we've tried to give him a smaller football and all he wants is daddy's football.

I love this one! Nolan was a little too quick for the camera, but Mackenzie looks so excited and happy. Makes me smile every time I look at it.
