Art projects and snowy days

We have been enjoying a lot of snow lately. Much more than we've had in the last 2 winters we've lived here. Due to those snowy days we got 2 days off from school....AWESOME! We have 2 storm days built in, so we didn't even have to make up the days, even better! 

Here are some pictures from our fun days. We've done a lot of art projects, puzzles, movie nights, and outdoor activities.

 Nolan's first time watercolor painting, he did a great job and loved it, probably because his picture was of Mickey and friends

These next pictures are from our most recent snow event. On Monday the 4th we got about 5-6 inches of snow. There wasn't any wind with it, so we didn't get out of school again. Bummer! The kids enjoyed the snow, and I loved that it wasn't windy and the temps were still warm enough to stay outside for a long stretch. I am also loving that these outdoors days are helping them fall asleep very quickly and sleep a little more soundly. 

 This was before any snow was removed, it's hard to tell where the sidewalk, roads and driveway are.

 We had enough snow to make our own sledding hill in the front yard. 

 Nolan is wearing Daddy's boots and Mackenzie is wearing Mommy's.
